WOSM Consultants are recruited through global open calls. Due diligence recommendations and endorsement from their respective National Scout Organizations (NSO), including a Safe from Harm check, take place for all consultants.

All selected consultants take part in training on consultancy skills and services. Consultants who pass both training stages receive an appointment to become WOSM Consultants for a mandate of three years. They become accredited after completing their first delivery of a service to an NSO.
