Treehouse communities are topic-based groups that allow its members to create posts, share images, participate in polls, and connect with other group members.
Treehouse communities can be:
- Open to join
- Available to request membership
- Invite only
When you are on the group page, pay attention to the name of the group. If the name has a small lock icon next to it, it means that the group is either invite-only or you can request to join. The absence of the lock means you can join the group automatically by clicking on the "Join" button.
To request to join, follow the same process - click on the "Request to join button", then share with the group moderators why you want to join the group. The moderators will review your request and will make a decision; you will be notified via email if your request was approved or not.
If the group is invite-only, you need to be invited by the group moderator to join that specific group.
