Organisation contact information
The World Scouting Directory is the official record of all organisations apart of the Movement from operational framework structures and committees to National Scout Organizations.
Each organisation has a profile on the Directory with certain information that is publicly available, including the generic contact information of the organisation. This contact information is also made accessible on scout.org for any Scouts and individuals interested in connecting with Scouting around the world.
Managing contact information of your NSO
NSO admins are asked to keep their organisation’s contact information up to date on the Directory as soon as there is a change, and at the minimum to review the information once a year as part of their annual reporting to WOSM.
The contact information can be updated by logging in to the Directory, navigating to the NSO’s profile, clicking the edit button and navigating to the contact tab. From here you can add, edit or remove the organisation contact information as relevant.
Each organisation should have the following contact information at a minimum:
- Generic email address for the organisation
- Mailing address or business address of the headquarters
- Website address or social media account if available
Data Privacy
All contact information for an organisation is publicly accessible. Please refrain from adding any personal email addresses or other personal details in the organisation contact fields. Only generic organisation contact information should be provided. This is not the case for contact information added to person profiles in the Directory.
